Apetit launches exports to South Korea – cauliflower wings to be sold in IKEA stores

Apetit has started exports to South Korea. The first Apetit products were included in product selection of IKEA stores in South Korea in mid-April. Products will be distributed to all four IKEA stores in South Korea. Apetit’s frozen vegetable mixes and Wings snack products can be found in IKEA’s Swedish Food Markets in South Korea.

“Apetit’s cauliflower and broccoli wings are a perfect match with South Korean taste preferences – spicy and a great alternative to fried chicken that Koreans love. South Korea is experiencing a strong trend towards plant-based products. The food departments in IKEA stores in South Korea have become very popular,” says Johanna Heikkinen, Export Manager at Apetit.

At first, three Apetit products will be included in the product selection: Cauliflower Wings Original, Broccoli Wings and the Aurinkokasvikset frozen vegetable mix. Apetit’s Cauliflower Wings have also received an enthusiastic welcome in countries such as the UK and Germany.

“We are excited about this new endeavour. It’s great to see how the world appreciates high-quality Finnish food production and our ways of working,” says Heikkinen.
