Kaisa Somerpalo reached the finals of The Finnish Success Recipe program with a product that combines vegetable balls and meatballs. Somerpalo’s hybrid ball contains, in addition to meat, Apetit’s BlackGrain from Yellow Fields® rapeseed powder and pea protein. The product contains half the amount of meat compared to a conventional equivalent product.
Product developer Kaisa Somerpalo’s hybrid product, which merges vegetable and meatballs, has made it to the final stage of The Finnish Success Recipe program.
Somerpalo aimed to bring a better option to family dining tables, especially for families with children, with a product containing BlackGrain.
“I wanted to introduce a product to the market that has half better ingredients and includes something entirely new. There are no compromises in taste or texture, but the product gives people the opportunity to make a better everyday choice. Quick everyday meal needs are especially emphasized in families with children,” Somerpalo describes.
