Apetit commits to setting Science-Based Emission Reduction Targets

Apetit has committed to set a near-term company-wide emission reductions in line with climate science with the SBTi. Apetit made the commitment in December 2025.

In the commitment, Apetit pledges to submit its emission reduction targets for SBTi approval within two years. The targets will be set for both the company’s own operations and the greenhouse gas emissions of its value chain.

“Apetit has implemented significant emission reduction measures in its own operations in recent years. Committing to the SBTi initiative helps us set targets that cover the entire value chain and are aligned with climate science. This provides a solid foundation for long-term climate work and for targeting emission reduction actions together with our stakeholders,” says Apetit’s Communications and Sustainability Director, Miika Kemilä.

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a corporate climate action organization that enables companies to play their part in combating the climate crisis and to set greenhouse gas emission reduction targets in line with climate science.
