Pakkasvakka to build a new automated warehouse for finished products adjacent to Apetit’s frozen foods factory in Säkylä
Apetit and Pakkasvakka Oy have signed a long-term cooperation agreement under which Pakkasvakka will invest in a new automated warehouse for finished products on Apetit’s factory site in Säkylä.
The new automated warehouse will have a capacity of approximately 16,000 pallet spaces. The warehouse will be operated by Pakkasvakka.
The new warehouse for finished products will support the growth objectives of both Apetit and Pakkasvakka.
“We are excited to further deepen our cooperation with Apetit. Construction work will begin immediately. This investment is clearly the most significant in Pakkasvakka’s history,” says Tuure Hulmi, CEO of Pakkasvakka.
The automated warehouse for finished products will improve logistical efficiency and respond to increased capacity needs. The aim is for the warehouse to enter the testing phase already later this year.
Currently, Apetit’s finished products are stored in Pakkasvakka’s facilities outside the factory area. The new warehouse will be built directly adjacent to Apetit’s buildings.
